This is a butterfly made using shapes with Adobe Illustrator. I was really excited to use this program, and this assignment was my first introduction to it. To create this butterfly, I used the curvature tool, which generates curves, to draw a variety of shapes of different sizes. I added strokes and fill colours for each shape. I then placed certain shapes where I wanted them to be, then used the shape builder tool to make them become one complete shape. I had plenty of these, and I then took all my completed shapes and placed them to make the butterfly. The eyes, mouth, and antenna were all made using the pen tool, the curvature tool, and the marquee tool.
